David Wong

David Wong is an experienced manager in manufacturing with a strong background in engineering, currently serving as the Manager of Manufacturing at Cochlear since January 2015. David leads a multidisciplinary team to drive the development and launch of new products, emphasizing the establishment of stable manufacturing processes and collaboration with design teams and suppliers. Prior to this role, David worked as a Senior NPI Engineer and NPI Engineer at Cochlear, focusing on the introduction and ramp-up of new products through robust manufacturing processes. David's earlier experience includes a role as a Production Engineer, where project planning and risk management were key responsibilities, along with an internship as a Manufacturing Engineer at Zip Heaters, facilitating design transfer into manufacturing. David holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from UNSW.
