Emma Hurley graduated from Colorado State University with bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. They served as a Learning Assistant at CSU and worked as an Undergraduate Research Engineer at the Orthopaedic Research Center, where they contributed to the design of a tensile testing machine and published research on ACL rupture models. Emma gained further experience as a Graduate Intern Engineer at Terumo BCT and held positions as a Systems Engineer I and II at Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies. Currently, Emma is a Product Manager at Cochlear, focused on medical device design. In their free time, they enjoy outdoor activities in Colorado, such as skiing, hiking, and backpacking.
