Kurt Forrester is a highly experienced engineering professional with a specialized background in electrical and systems engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Systems Engineer at Cochlear since February 2013, Kurt has progressed through various roles including Senior System Engineer, Senior Electrical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and Graduate Engineer. Prior experience includes an Avionics Engineering Co-op Student position at Qantas, where Kurt managed a $1.1 million Digital Flight Data Acquisition Unit upgrade and supported weather monitoring software installation. Additionally, as an ASIC Engineering Co-op Student at Cochlear, responsibilities included the verification and validation of PCBs and simulations of chipset startup. Early roles included co-op positions at Tooheys and Alcatel-Lucent. Kurt holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from UNSW, completed in 2012, and is a graduate of Sydney Technical High School.
