Mo Nikro

Mo Nikro is an experienced professional in the biomedical engineering and project management fields, currently serving as the Director of Algorithms & R&T CI Portfolio Lead at Cochlear since April 2016, following roles as a Senior System Project Manager and Project Manager in Research and Development. Prior to Cochlear, Mo held the position of Lead Biomedical Engineer at the University of New South Wales, where responsibilities included the development of telemetry implants and supervision of medical device teams, alongside experience as a Biomedical Design Engineer focusing on the design and development of implantable medical devices. Mo's background also includes roles at Sunshine Heart Company and Allegra Orthopaedics, where expertise in validation engineering and product testing was developed. Mo began a professional career as a Design Engineer at Infinity Fire Protection and Yokogawa, focusing on fire suppression system design and power plant simulation, respectively. Mo holds an MBA from UNSW, a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney.
