Norbert Dommel

Norbert Dommel is an experienced project manager with expertise in biomedical engineering and risk management, currently leading project activities at Cochlear since 2007. With a background in both engineering and project management, Norbert oversees the R&D Incubation Operations group, fostering partnerships such as the one with Epi-Minder Pty Ltd. Achievements include successful product development, robust risk management for implantable medical devices, and maintaining compliance with Post Market Surveillance guidelines. In addition to industry work, Norbert has contributed to academia as a guest lecturer at several universities, educating students in biomedical and electrical engineering. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and a Diploma in Project Management, Norbert combines technical proficiency with effective project oversight to drive innovation in medical devices.
