Sophie Sheedy

Sophie Sheedy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in process engineering and new product introduction (NPI) management, currently serving as the Vice President of Process Engineering at Cochlear since September 2009. With a strong background in overseeing teams responsible for implant, sound processor, and accessory NPI, Sophie has successfully supported the transfer of new products to production across various roles, including Head of NPI, Senior NPI Manager, and NPI Manager. Sophie's earlier career included positions at Ventracor, Insight Electronics, JDS Uniphase, and Lumenon, where a focus on manufacturing and engineering allowed for the development and implementation of critical production processes. Sophie holds a Master’s degree in Optoelectronics from the University of Montpellier, earned between 1996 and 1999.
