Søren Riis currently serves as Vice President of R&D for Embedded Solutions at Cochlear and is a member of the Steering Committee for the Google Australia Digital Future Initiative on Hearing and AI, collaborating with key partners to advance AI applications in hearing solutions. Additional roles include Board Member at the Danish Sound Cluster and Member of the International Advisory Panel for the Danish Data Science Academy. Previous experience includes Chief Research Officer at Oticon Medical and significant positions within Oticon A/S and Nokia Mobile Phone. Søren Riis holds an M.Sc.EE and PhD in Electronics, specializing in signal processing, and has completed executive training in managing product development.
