Tim Laing

Tim Laing is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in the design and development of electronic medical devices. Currently serving as Process Engineering Manager at Cochlear, Tim oversees a team focused on manufacturing processes for both external and implantable medical devices. Tim's previous roles include various positions at Ellume, where responsibilities ranged from Head of Engineering (Acting) to Senior Electronics Engineer, and as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Cochlear, where notable achievements included leading the development of next-generation medical devices and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Tim's experience also encompasses positions at Intellidesign and Analytica, involving electronic product design across multiple applications, hardware and firmware development for medical devices, and system debugging. Tim holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Queensland.
