Tony Nygard has extensive experience in engineering and management, particularly in the medical technology sector. Nygard served as Manager of Enabling Technologies and Technology Development Program at Cochlear Ltd from January 2005 to December 2011, following a role as Chief System Architect at Cochlear from July 2018 to December 2004. Earlier experience includes positions as an Electrical Engineer and Project Manager, as well as Head of Implant Development at Victor Hasselblad AB from 1985 to 1987.
