The Cockrell Family business originated as an oil and gas exploration and production company during the 1920s. The family divested most of its oil & gas interests in the 1990’s and formed an investment management company, Cockrell Interests (CI). 

CI today is an institutional, diversified private investment firm with a permanent capital base and a focus on long-term value creation. CI invests across a range of asset classes including public securities, real estate, private equity, oil & gas, venture capital, and private credit.
