David Ding is an accomplished software engineer and technical advisor with extensive experience in cloud-based infrastructure and machine learning. Currently, as a Member of Technical Staff at Cockroach Labs since August 2021, David focuses on enhancing CockroachDB's cloud offerings and orchestrating products on Kubernetes. In addition, David serves as an advisor to Scout, where contributions include developing an initial backend and establishing deployment processes on AWS. Previously, at Citizen, David led the platform stability team, optimizing infrastructure for handling traffic spikes. At Google, David made significant advancements in the precision of business information on Google Maps and published research in interpretable machine learning. Educationally, David holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology.
