Greg Turnquist is a seasoned technical content engineer and content creator with extensive experience in the software development industry. Currently serving as the host of SELECT STAR at Cockroach Labs and contributing as a Sr. Staff Technical Content Engineer, Turnquist focuses on building scalable content for the CockroachDB community. As a content creator on YouTube, Turnquist launched the Spring Boot Learning channel to assist developers and expanded this initiative through a dedicated podcast. With a robust background in the Spring ecosystem, Turnquist held various leadership roles, including Lead for Spring Data JPA and Spring Web Services, and has been instrumental in advancing hypermedia support through Spring HATEOAS. Previous positions encompass significant roles at VMware, Pivotal Software, and Harris Corporation, where Turnquist developed critical software systems and led teams of engineers. Turnquist holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Auburn University.
