Steven Hand

Steven Hand is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software development and data architecture. Currently serving as an Enterprise Architect at Cockroach Labs since December 2020, Steven focuses on the distributed SQL database CockroachDB. Prior to this role, Steven spent over 14 years at Cisco, where responsibilities included Data Architect for the Threat Intelligence Platform and Data Scientist utilizing predictive analytics. Steven's career began at SAS, followed by significant positions at NetIQ, where a leadership role involved developing award-winning VOIP assessment software. Steven holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
