Derek Newberry

Derek Newberry has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Derek is currently a Senior Director at co:collective, where they lead the Org + Culture Design practice, helping organizations define their core purpose and drive it into everything they do. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategy Lead at the same company.

Derek has also worked as an Affiliated Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania's Liberal & Professional Studies and Organizational Dynamics department, where they taught courses on corporate culture and effective collaboration. Derek also designed and led educational innovation projects aimed at transforming classroom learning and expanding access to higher education.

In addition, Derek has been a Guest Lecturer at Wharton Executive Education and a Consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in the Behavior and Culture Expert role. At BCG, they designed and executed culture-building and change management strategies to support digital and Agile transformations. Derek also developed leadership and development programs to drive new behaviors.

Before joining BCG, Derek was the President of Traice Consulting, where they helped clients manage the human factor driving organizational performance. Derek combined management consulting tools with capability-building focus to solve complex problems.
