Marcel Losekoot has worked in the technology industry for over 35 years. Marcel began their career in 1984 as a Development Trainee at Philips Semiconductors (PCAL). In 1991, they moved to Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) as a Programmer and Project Manager. In 2001, they joined Collecte Localisation Satellites (CLS Argos) as a Development Engineer. In 2008, they began working at Bodega Marine Laboratory, UCD as a HFR Technician and Programmer. In this role, they were responsible for the operations and maintenance of CODAR stations for measuring sea surface currents, as well as the development of automated data distribution and web based data visualisation tools. In 2020, they joined CODAR Ocean Sensors, Ltd. as a Technical Support and Services Engineer.
Marcel Losekoot's education history includes a MSc in Avian Sciences from the University of California, Davis from 2005 to 2007, a MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey from 1985 to 1991, A Levels from Davies' College, Brighton, England, United Kingdom from 1984 to 1985, and O Levels and A Levels from Ardingly College from 1979 to 1984.
