Ron Black

CEO at Codasip

Ron Black is the CEO of Codasip. Ron has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry, including executive leadership roles at Imagination Technologies, UPEK, Rambus, MobiWire, Wavecom, and LSI.

Ron started their career at IBM in 1990, where they held various positions in management and engineering. In 1997, they joined Motorola Mobility as General Manager of the PowerPC Microprocessors division. Ron later became Vice President of Software and 3G at Gemalto in 2000.

In 2005, Ron was appointed CEO of Wavecom. During their tenure, they successfully grew the company and oversaw its sale to Sierra Wireless in 2009. Ron then joined Rambus as President and CEO in 2012. Ron led Rambus through a period of significant growth, taking the company public in 2016 and increasing its stock price from $4 to $15.50.

In 2018, Ron left Rambus to join Imagination Technologies as President & CEO. Ron served in this role until 2020, when they transitioned to their current role as CEO of Codasip.

Ron Black received their PhD in Materials Science from Cornell University. Prior to that, they received their MS in Engineering from Cornell University. Ron also received their BS in Engineering from Cornell University.
