Tariq Kurd has a strong background in processor design and architecture. Tariq currently holds the role of Chief Architect at Codasip, where they oversee architectural development. Prior to that, they served as the Application Core Lead Architect at Codasip.
From 2015 to 2022, Tariq worked at Huawei Technologies, where they held various roles. Tariq was a CPU Expert and a member of the RISC-V technical committee. Tariq also served as the design lead for a 64bit Multi-threaded ARM core and as the Principal Multi-threaded CPU Designer.
Before their time at Huawei, Tariq worked at Broadcom as a Senior Principal Processor Designer from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they were a Senior Silicon Designer at NVIDIA and Icera Semiconductor Inc, where they played a role in characterisation lead and CPU development.
Tariq's career in processor design began at STMicroelectronics in 2003, where they served as a Principal Processor Designer. Overall, Tariq Kurd brings extensive experience and expertise in processor design to their current role as Chief Architect at Codasip.
Tariq Kurd attended Brunel University London from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a First-class degree in Microelectronic Engineering.
