Christine Kirkpatrick

Christine Kirkpatrick currently serves as Secretary General for the International Science Council's Committee on Data at CODATA and as Division Director for Research Data Services at the San Diego Supercomputer Center, where responsibilities include strategic direction and management of IT service delivery. Additionally, Kirkpatrick holds affiliate status at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and is a Principal Investigator for the West Big Data Innovation Hub, focusing on partnerships to tackle societal challenges using Big Data. Previously, Kirkpatrick served as Executive Director of the National Data Service, enhancing research data infrastructure, and has held various roles at the University of California system, including IT Accessibility Project Manager and Associate Director of Academic Computing. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Architecture-based Enterprise Systems Engineering from UC San Diego, alongside ongoing PhD studies in Computer Science at Universidade do Porto.
