Francis P. Crawley

Francis P. Crawley is an experienced professional in the fields of ethics, research integrity, and clinical research. Currently, Crawley serves as a member of the EU AI Office's General-Purpose AI Code of Practice, focusing on risk identification and assessment. As the Executive Director of the Good Clinical Practice Alliance - Europe since 2005, Crawley has significantly contributed to advancing ethical clinical practices. Additional roles include Board Member of CODATA, Co-Chair of the CoARA ERIP, and member of multiple working groups under the Research Data Alliance. Crawley co-founded the Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review and has been involved with various health organizations, including the World Health Organization, where advisory contributions have shaped ethical guidelines in biomedical research. Educational background includes studies at KU Leuven and Grinnell College.
