Janey Millar is currently employed as a Growth Marketing Junior Manager at Code First Girls, where Janey is part of the Marketing Team working towards closing the Tech Diversity Gap. Prior to this, Janey worked as a Marketing & Brand Manager at YouK, supporting UK brands through the YouK web app. Janey also has experience as a Shop and Kitchen Assistant at Hanks Sandwich Bar and as a Chalet Assistant at PROJECT SKI. Janey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Health Science from the University of Aberdeen.

Code First Girls is on a mission to close the gender gap in the tech industry by providing employment through free education. We’ve already taught more than 150,000+ women to learn to code and by working with companies globally, we’re boosting employability, diversity and social mobility, transforming local economies and communities. But we want to go further – our aim is to provide one million opportunities for women to learn to code and participate in the industry in the next five years, becoming the world’s first EdTech unicorn dedicated to women.
