Astra Zeno

Astra Zeno is an experienced educator with a multifaceted background in computer science and education. Since 2014, Astra Zeno has worked at Young Women's College Preparatory Academy and has served as an AP Computer Science Principles Facilitator for Code.org since 2017, conducting workshops and mentoring educators. Additional roles include a lengthy tenure with HISD and involvement in the Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME) as a board member from 2018 to 2024, as well as serving as Chapter Ambassador for Houston for Technovation until 2022. Astra Zeno holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Education from the University of St. Thomas.
