Carl Lyman is an experienced educator with a strong background in computer science and instructional technology. Since June 2018, Carl has served as the President of CSTA Utah, focusing on supporting computer science teachers in the state. Carl has also been a Coding Trainer for Utah Coding since August 2016, providing training to middle school students and teachers. As a K-5 Affiliate for Code.org since August 2014, Carl has facilitated training in Utah. Previously, Carl held the position of Computer Science / Information Technology Education Specialist at the Utah State Office of Education from September 2006 to August 2016, where support was provided to high school teachers in various technology domains. Carl's career began as a Business, Computer, and Information Technology Teacher at Delta Technical Center and as a Second and Third Grade Teacher at Delta Elementary. Education includes a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Utah State University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University.
