Deborah Kariuki

Deborah Kariuki serves as a CS 101 Instructor and Graduate Program Director for the Master of Arts in Education/Computer Science Education at the University of Maryland Baltimore County since August 2019, where responsibilities include designing a Master of Computer Science Education program and overseeing graduate student research. Additionally, Deborah co-leads the Mentor/Mentee Program for Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) since November 2021, fostering professional growth among women in cybersecurity. With extensive experience in computer science education and leadership roles, Deborah has held positions such as Manager for Women in Computing, Ambassador for SheLeadsTech, and Computer Science Professional Development Specialist at the University of Texas at Austin. Deborah's educational background includes multiple degrees from Texas State University and a current pursuit of a PhD in Cyber Security at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
