Debra Kelly Thomas, Ed.S. is a highly experienced educator with a strong focus on STEM and computer science instruction. Currently serving as a LEGO Education Trainer since June 2017 and a Computer Science Fundamentals Trainer for Code.org since May 2016, Debra also holds the position of Computer Science Instructional Specialist for Broward County Public Schools since July 2007, where responsibilities include providing coaching and professional development for K-12 teachers. Previous roles include STEM Magnet Coordinator and STEM Lab Instructor at Colbert Elementary Sprouting STEM Museum Magnet School, where Debra managed various aspects of the STEM program, including curriculum development and teacher support. Debra's educational background includes a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida, a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida International University, and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida.
