Abi Salazar

Abi was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA to Mexican immigrant parents. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA Degree in Black Studies and Chican@ Studies in 2016, and thereafter, worked as the program coordinator of the UCSB LGBT center. Abi moved to the bay in 2018, where she became the coordinator at the San Francisco Rapid Response Network, overseeing the 24/7 SF Hotline for communities who had been affected by detention and deportation. Having her mother deported at a young age influenced her commitment to serving marginalized communities, and is excited to be using her experience to advance Code2040’s mission in bringing racial equity to the tech industry.
