Matt Stephenson

Matt Stephenson has a diverse work experience in various fields. Matt is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Code2College, a non-profit organization focused on preparing minority and low-income high school students for STEM careers. Matt previously held the role of Executive Director and Co-Founder at Code2College from September 2016 to August 2020.

In addition to their work at Code2College, Matt has worked as a Senior Admissions Consultant at The MBA Exchange since 2011. Matt also served as an Adjunct Professor at Texas McCombs School of Business from January 2022 to January 2023.

Prior to these roles, Matt held positions such as Director of Finance at KIPP Austin Public Schools, Associate Partner at NewSchools Venture Fund, Board Observer at Ingenuity Prep and Paul Public Charter School, Leadership Fellow and Teacher at Achievement First, and Investment Banking Summer Associate at CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank.

Matt began their career as a Program Manager at SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity) from 2007 to 2009.

Matt Stephenson obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Information Systems from NYU Stern School of Business, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Matt then pursued an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management at The Wharton School from 2009 to 2011. Prior to their college education, they completed their high school education at New Rochelle High School from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, in 2019, they obtained certification as an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM.
