Matthew Henshall

Matthew Henshall is an accomplished entrepreneur and engineer with a strong background in education technology and engineering. As the Founder and CEO of Lessonspace since June 2018, Matthew leads a platform described as "Zoom/Twilio for Education." In addition, Matthew founded Code4Kids in January 2018, providing resources for teachers to introduce coding and robotics to students aged 8-15. Matthew also established room.sh as the software underpinning both Lessonspace and Code4Kids. Previously, Matthew founded SkillUp Tutors, which became Africa's largest tutor marketplace, and held positions as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer at BattCo Energy Storage Systems and System Engineer at Vital Health Foods. Matthew holds a BSc(Eng) in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, completed in 2013.
