Eban Escott has a wide range of work experience in various industries. Eban is the founder of Codebots, a software development company that utilizes model-driven engineering and artificial intelligence. Prior to that, they were a director at Working Mouse, where they worked on developing the Codebots technology. Eban has also served as a member of the Industry Advisory Board for Engineering at The University of Queensland, providing advice on curriculum and alumni engagement. Eban co-founded Crowdsites, a technology startup that specializes in website building. Eban has also worked as a software architect at OptiHaul, where they led a team in developing a mine planning software application. Eban has consulting experience, having worked on projects for Vodafone Netherlands, British National Rail, and Inland Revenue and Customs. Eban's role at Visa Europe involved making architectural decisions, developing prototypes, and mentoring teams. Eban started their career as a senior software engineer at INSL (now Endava) and also served as a Lieutenant in the Australian Defence Force, where they held various leadership positions.
Eban Escott began their education in 1994 at The University of Queensland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Information Technology. Eban completed their undergraduate studies in 1997.
In 2002, they enrolled at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) to pursue a Master of Information Technology degree, which they completed in 2003.
Continuing their education in the field of computer software engineering, Eban Escott pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at The University of Queensland from 2009 to 2013.
In 2020, they attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors, where they completed the Graduate of the Company Directors Course.
