Guido Hansch

Guido Hansch currently serves as the Head of Legal and Group Data Protection Officer at codecentric AG since April 2021. In addition, Guido holds the position of Datenschutzbeauftragter at Bundesverband der Unternehmensjuristen e.V. (BUJ) from November 2021 to June 2024. Throughout previous roles, Guido has been actively involved with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as Co-Chair of KnowledgeNet Rhein-Ruhr and a member of the Education Advisory and European Advisory Boards from January 2018 to October 2023. Prior experience includes being the Global Privacy & Information Security Officer and Head of Data Protection at BIRKENSTOCK GmbH & Co. KG from May 2016 to March 2021, where Guido spearheaded GDPR implementation projects, and serving as Counsel at Rechsanwälte from April 2009 to April 2016. Guido's academic background includes studies at Universität Osnabrück, The University of Bonn, Strathclyde Law School, and FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management.
