Tyler Menezes

Executive Director at CodeDay

Tyler Menezes is the current Executive Director at CodeDay. Prior to this, they were an advisor at Y Combinator for Startup School, a program that helps entrepreneurs learn the ropes of starting a company. Tyler has also been a teacher for Seattle Public Schools as part of the Microsoft TEALS program. In this role, they co-taught CS classes each morning at Rainier Beach High School, Sammamish High School, and Garfield High School. Prior to their teaching career, Tyler was a developer at eNotes.com, where they developed new features for the popular educational site. Tyler also co-founded and led engineering for Framebase, a programmatic video service which is used by many companies to add video to their apps. Framebase is backed by Y Combinator and a number of prominent VCs and angel investors. Tyler began their career as a Machine Learning and Applied Statistics Intern at Microsoft Research.
