Frederick Gertz, PhD, is a founder and CEO at Collide Technology, where they lead the development of IndEx, a swarm-intelligence platform designed to optimize manufacturing processes. With over a decade of experience as a data scientist, including a role as Head of Data Science at SHL Medical, Frederick has a strong background in medical device and pharma operations. They also co-founded Mantis Vision Systems Ltd., focusing on nanotechnology characterization, and are currently involved as an organizer of Silicon Swamp, a tech meetup series in South Carolina. Frederick holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UC Riverside, where their research included nanoneuromorphic circuit designs and development of novel devices.
