Carlos Ahumada

Carlos Ahumada is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in various roles within the healthcare sector. Currently serving as a senior specialist at CODELCO since May 2022, Carlos has also worked as a physician at NúcleoSalud since October 2016 and previously held positions as medical auditor at the Instituto de Seguridad del Trabajo – IST and as head of occupational health at CGE S.A. Carlos's career includes significant roles at CODELCO, where Carlos served as Director of SATEP from February 2012 to April 2016, and as a primary care physician at Hospital Clínico Fusat. In addition to clinical practice, Carlos has contributed to medical education as a faculty member at various institutions, including Universidad de Aconcagua and Santo Tomás. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad de Valparaíso and multiple diplomas in higher education, ergonomics, and occupational health from recognized universities in Chile.
