Franco Varela Miranda

Franco Varela Miranda is currently the Jefe de Mantenimiento Eléctrico e Instrumentación at CODELCO – Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile, where they oversee electrical maintenance and instrumentation in the Concentrator and Roasting Plants of the Ministro Hales Division. With six years of experience in the mining industry, they previously held roles as an Ingeniero Graduado andIngeniero Gestor de Mantenimiento at CODELCO. Franco also served as a teaching assistant for the Theory of Circuits I course at Universidad de Concepción, where they completed their degree in Electrical Civil Engineering in 2018. They are furthering their education with a diploma in Mining Business and Management Skills from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, set to conclude in 2023, and they are enrolled in a diploma program for Asset Management and Maintenance at the same institution, to be completed in 2026.
