Renzo Rivera is an experienced electrical maintenance engineer with a robust background in mining and industrial automation. Currently serving as the Chief Maintenance Engineer for Electrical Equipment at CODELCO since February 2021, Rivera oversees the electrical maintenance and instrumentation unit at the Chuquicamata Underground mine. Prior to CODELCO, Rivera held positions at Compañía Minera del Pacífico as Head of Electrical Maintenance and Instrumentation and as Head of Instrumentation, managing key areas of electrical power and instrumentation. Additionally, Rivera has experience in maintenance engineering at Volcán, where a strong focus on safety and compliance with ISO standards was developed, and has also contributed to education as a part-time instructor at INACAP in industrial maintenance and automation. An alumnus of Universidad de Concepción, Rivera holds a degree in Electronic Civil Engineering with a specialization in Process Control.
