Ximena Barra

Ximena Barra is a Senior Specialist in Engineering and Constructability at CODELCO, with experience in managing tailings projects, specifically the VIII and IX stages of the Tranque Talabre project, as well as the Concentrated Tailings Project. Prior to CODELCO, Ximena held the position of Senior Electrical Engineer at ABB and Senior Electrical Engineer at Antofagasta Minerals, contributing to the Molybdenum Plant project for Minera Centinela. Previous roles include Project Electrical Engineer at Techint Engineering & Construction, with involvement in the engineering design for ducting at Cerro Casale, and support engineer for Minera Los Pelambres' Repowering II project. Ximena began her career as a Project Engineer and Supervisor of Electrification at Minera Esperanza, conducting feasibility studies for high-voltage electrical lines. Ximena holds a degree in Electrical Civil Engineering from Universidad de Concepción and a project management diploma from Universidad Diego Portales.
