Carlos Roque is the Student & University Outreach Manager at CodePath.org. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Community Associate at Lyft from May 2019 to March 2021. In this role, they oversaw and managed all of the Lyft Driver and Lyft Rider accounts across Central Texas. Carlos also worked cross-functionally with Global Operations Team to support driver-facing initiatives, leveraged data and user feedback to improve app content and user experience, and worked with the Driver-facing team to improve logistics, processes and procedures. In addition, Carlos aided in the recruitment and retention of Drivers through high-quality community outreach initiatives, performed pre-and-post application outreach to ensure a smooth onboarding and transition process, coached and facilitated Drivers through troubleshooting problems they may encounter while using Lyft’s platform, and built and cultivated healthy Driver and Rider relationships by providing excellent client support services and proficiency in all aspects of Driver operations.
Before working at Lyft, Carlos was the Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator at El Buen Samaritano from February 2010 to August 2018. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating volunteers for special events, as well as managing all aspects of event planning and execution. Carlos also recruited, trained, and supervised event volunteers, developed promotional materials and worked with the media to publicize events. Carlos’s experience in coordinating volunteers and managing special events makes him an asset to CodePath.org in their current role as Regional Outreach Coordinator.
Carlos Roque has a Master of Science in Leadership and Change from St. Edward's University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from [Texas State University.
