Marcin Tojek

Marcin Tojek has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Marcin currently works as an Engineering Manager at Coder, leading an international team of software developers and driving feature development. Prior to that, they were a Staff Software Engineer at Coder, where they led a team and focused on building rich parameters for Coder workspaces and templates.

Before joining Coder, Marcin worked at Elastic as a Principal Software Engineer and then as a Senior Software Engineer. In these roles, they were involved in designing and scaling the cloud deployment of Elastic Package Registry, as well as extending development tools and designing release pipelines for Elastic Integrations.

Marcin also gained experience at F5 Networks as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed the Observability Analytics module and integrated the F5 BIG-IP firewall module with the NGINX Plus platform.

Prior to that, Marcin worked at Amazon Development Center (Ivona Software) as a Software Development Engineer II, where they played a significant role in building and preparing the operation of Amazon Polly, a text-to-speech service.

Earlier in their career, Marcin worked at Grupa Wirtualna Polska as a Software Developer, focused on projects such as designing and implementing an advertisements emitting platform and creating a centralized real-time logging solution.

Marcin also gained experience during their student internships and practice at Comarch and NET P.C., respectively.

Marcin Tojek obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Informatics from Gdańsk University of Technology in 2013. Marcin then pursued further education and earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Informatics in English from the same university in 2014. In 2014-2015, Marcin attended Uniwersytet WSB Merito Gdańsk, where they studied Project Management. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Elasticsearch Engineer II and Elasticsearch Engineer I from Elastic, NGINX Core (self-paced) from NGINX, Inc., Production-Grade Kubernetes Workshop from Cognitive, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate 2016 from Udemy.
