Colin Charles is a seasoned consultant and advisor with extensive experience in the field of database technology, particularly with Galera Cluster and MySQL. Since February 2019, Colin has been providing consultation services at Codership, focusing on deployments, performance tuning, and training for clients. Additionally, Colin has advised various startups on strategy and technology since 2012. As the owner of Charles Ventures and Grok Content and co-founder of GI.Conferences, Colin has been actively involved in community and content generation initiatives. Previous roles include Chief Evangelist at Percona and MariaDB Corporation, where Colin engaged with users and customers, wrote popular technical blogs, and delivered numerous presentations.
