Eric Smith has been in the software engineering industry since 2000. Eric began their career at Rare Medium, Inc. as an Architect/Lead Software Engineer in the Microsoft Competency Group. In this role, they were responsible for using existing corporate methodologies and helping to define a new set of methodologies for the planning/developing phases. Eric also provided technical leadership for the Microsoft competency group development staff. In 2001, Eric moved to RedRiver Systems, LLC, where they served as an Architect/Lead Software Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for designing/developing a new application architecture that took full advantage of the object oriented capabilities of .NET technologies. In 2003, Eric joined Match.com as a Senior Database Engineer, and CodeSmith Tools, LLC as President/Founder. In 2012, they founded Exceptionless and served as President/Founder. In 2015, they joined SlideRoom Technologies - Find Your Best Applicants as Chief Software Architect. Eric currently serves as a Distinguished Engineer at Concord Servicing.
Eric Smith obtained an Associates degree in Computer Science from Southern Ohio College between 1993 and 1995. In 1999, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer certification from Microsoft. In 2000, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator certification from Microsoft.
