Diego M.

Diego M. has a diverse work experience in the field of business development and project management for development cooperation. Diego has held positions such as Head of Business Development at CODESPA, where they researched opportunities, identified consortia, and prepared technical assistance projects for development cooperation. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager & Business Development Manager at Fundación Promoción Social, where they focused on preparing proposals for technical assistance projects and tenders for development cooperation with the European Union and other multilateral organizations. Diego also has experience as a Project Manager & Business Development Manager at DT Global, where they managed water, environment, and climate change projects and supported the identification and preparation of potential projects. Diego has previous experience as an Environmental Consultant at HAVI, a Hydrologist at DHI, a Junior Project Manager at Cooperation Programme with Central America, a Water Lab Technician at the Department of Microbiology (University of Alcalá), and an Environmental Educator at the Environmental Sciences Association.

Diego M. has a diverse education history with a focus on water science and engineering. From 2012 to 2014, they attended three different institutions to obtain their Master's degree. Diego pursued an MSc in Water Science and Engineering with a specialization in "Hydroinformatics - Flood Risk Management" at the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. At the Technische Universität Dresden, they pursued an MSc in Hydro-Science and Engineering. Lastly, they pursued an MSc in Flood Risk Management at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Prior to their Master's degrees, Diego M. completed an Official Master's in Hydrology and Water Resources Management at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos from 2011 to 2012. Diego also holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Universidad de Alcalá, which they obtained between 2006 and 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Diego M. has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they earned a certification in business management from ThePower Business School. In 2015, they obtained a certificate in the management of program estimates from MDF Training & Consultancy and a certificate in APIC Training from AECOM. Diego also received the DCS Sub-DoA certification and completed the AECOM Project Manager Certification Programme in the same year. In 2015, Diego M. also obtained a certificate in procurement procedures and service contract management for EU external actions from MDF Training & Consultancy. Prior to that, in 2014, they obtained a diploma in online training in occupational risk prevention from PREVILABOR.

Currently, Diego M. is pursuing a Master's Degree in Family Pastoral Care at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, starting in 2022 and expected to finish in 2025.
