Daniel Gibson is the Chief Technology Officer at Telesis Bio and has held the same position at Codex DNA since 2018. They are also a Professor in the Synthetic Biology group at the J. Craig Venter Institute, where they have contributed significantly to groundbreaking projects in synthetic biology since joining the institute as a postdoc in 2004. Daniel earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Prior to their current roles, they served as Vice President of DNA Technology at Synthetic Genomics, leading innovative efforts in synthetic genome production.
