Asif Rahman

Asif Rahman is a highly experienced senior scientist in bioprocess development at Codexis, Inc., since November 2021. Prior to this role, Asif held multiple positions at Zymergen from August 2018 to November 2021, including scientist and technical lead, project lead, and fermentation scientist. Asif's earlier experience includes work as a project scientist at NASA Ames Research Center from January 2015 to August 2018, and as a postdoctoral research fellow at NASA Ames in the Bioengineering Branch. Asif holds a PhD in Biological Engineering from Utah State University, a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Auckland, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Asif also received an International Baccalaureate from UWC South East Asia and has educational ties to Delft University of Technology.
