Ravi Garcia

Ravi Garcia is an experienced scientist with a strong background in biotherapeutics and protein engineering. Currently serving as the Technical Lead for the Biotherapeutics Lead Discovery Group at Codexis, Inc., Ravi has successfully managed a multidisciplinary team through all phases of an oral biotherapeutics protein engineering project. Prior roles include Research Associate in the Biocatalyst Characterization and Development Group, where directed evolution techniques were employed for pharmaceutical applications, and Student Researcher at the Kirby Research Group, focusing on optimizing algal biofuel production. Ravi has also contributed to pharmaceutical development at Janssen, where data management tools were created, and served as a Research Assistant at the Holley Center for Agriculture and Health, analyzing compounds using advanced chromatography techniques. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering, both from Cornell University.
