Dinidu Sandaruwan

Dinidu Sandaruwan's work experience includes being a Lead Platform Engineer at Codification since November 2021. In this role, they are actively involved in client communication, pre-sales requirement gathering, solution designing, budgeting, and delivery planning. Dinidu is responsible for designing a hybrid-cloud infrastructure for a digital bank in UAE using Azure Stack HCI and managing Azure hybrid cloud infrastructure via Azure Arc.

Prior to that, Dinidu worked at Pearson from 2013 to 2021. Dinidu started as a Trainee Software Engineer in April 2013 and progressed to become a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and finally a Technical Specialist. At Pearson, Dinidu's responsibilities included building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS EKS+Fargate/Kubernetes using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible. Dinidu also worked with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and different deployment strategies. Additionally, they managed distributed logging solutions with Splunk on AWS EKS and implemented application performance monitoring with NewRelic. Dinidu also gained experience in analyzing application error/warning logs using deep neural networks with NLP techniques and implementing data pipelining with ELK stack and Kafka.

Furthermore, Dinidu worked as a Student Ambassador at Microsoft from September 2012 to August 2014.

Dinidu Sandaruwan's education history begins with their completion of Advanced Level studies in Physical Sciences from Bandaranayake Central College in 2007. This was followed by their enrollment at the University of Moratuwa, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from 2010 until 2015. Later, Dinidu pursued further education at the same university, acquiring a Master of Science degree with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, which is expected to be completed in 2023.

In terms of additional certifications, in June 2015, Dinidu attained the Core Elasticsearch certification from SpringPeople Software Private Limited. Following that, in October 2019, they acquired the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
