Samar Farooqi

Samar Farooqi is a Project Lead at Codify Berkeley since February 2023 and currently serves as a Computer Vision Software Engineer at Space Technologies At California (STAC) starting January 2024. In the role at STAC, Samar has developed autonomous tracking systems for robots, focusing on enhancing real-time navigation and control, and engineered vision-based algorithms for precise object detection and localization. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer Intern position at Typeface, where fine-tuning BERT models for content extraction and developing AI output evaluation tests were key responsibilities, as well as an internship as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Daicus Technology. Samar also participated in the Bank of America Student Leaders program in summer 2022. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, with studies initiated at the University of California, Riverside from August 2019 to August 2021.
