Jake Leigh Watson

Jake Leigh Watson has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2010, they worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant at Manchester Royal Infirmary. In 2013, they co-founded Pacem, a part-time venture focused on designing and selling custom T-shirts and basketball jerseys globally. At Pacem, they were responsible for design, sourcing, marketing, and sales, with a focus on targeting online communities through social media channels. From 2016 to 2017, Jake worked as a Test and Installation Engineer/Research Assistant at Henniker Plasma. In 2019, they transitioned to become a Research and Development Engineer at the same company, holding the role until November 2020. Starting in October 2021, Jake joined Exact Sciences as an NGS Product Integration Associate, and in February 2023, they were promoted to Senior Research Associate NGS. Currently, they work at coding.bio as an Associate Research Scientist, starting in April 2023.

Jake Leigh Watson has a diverse education history. In 2020 to 2021, they attended the University of Glasgow where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Precision Medicine, with a specialization in Cancer. Their field of study was Precision Medicine.

Earlier, from 2017 to 2018, Jake completed a Master's degree in Graphene Technology at the University of Cambridge.

Jake also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Leeds, where they studied from 2013 to 2016.

Prior to that, in 2012 to 2013, they completed a Physics Foundation Year at the University of Leeds.

In 2010 to 2011, Jake obtained a certification in "The Physical World" from The Open University, focusing on Physics.

During 2007 to 2009, they attended Warrington Collegiate, and before that, from 2002 to 2007, they completed their high school education at St Gregorys Catholic High School.

Additionally, Jake has obtained a certification in "Introduction to Sequencing Data Analysis" from Illumina, which was acquired in June 2022.
