Teaera Raines

Teaera Raines is the Career Services Manager at Coding Dojo. Teaera has over 20 years of experience in the field of education and career development. Teaera has a passion for helping others reach their full potential and has dedicated their career to helping students achieve their career goals.

Raines began their career in education as a teacher. Teaera taught for several years before moving into administration. Teaera served as the Director of Career Services at Miller-Motte College for over two years. In this role, they provided leadership to the campus in all aspects of career development for students. Teaera stayed informed of current career issues, effective practices, industry growth opportunities, and job market dynamics. Teaera also ensured that positive relationships were being cultivated with staff and academic departments.

In addition to their administrative duties, Raines provided career coaching to students. Teaera oversaw, developed, and executed career service-oriented programs for students including resume workshops, mock interviews, internship placement, presentations, cover letter workshops, and career services related college courses. Teaera also developed and implemented Miller Motte College's vision, mission, goals, and outcome metrics.

Raines is committed to helping students find quality internships and employment opportunities. Teaera has developed partnerships with employers and faculty to create externship opportunities for students. Teaera also oversees all aspects of the externship program, including the development/implementation of policies and procedures, identifying internship sites, and managing on-going assessment/evaluation of internship sites. Through their efforts, they have increased the number of quality internships and employment opportunities available to students.

Teaera Raines has a Master of Science in Management from Troy University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of West Georgia. Teaera is also certified as a nonviolent crisis intervention instructor from the Crisis Prevention Institute.
