Jon Fincher is currently a Mentor & Community Organizer at CodingNomads. Jon was previously a Teacher at Bellevue School District from June 2017 to August 2018, teaching AP Computer Science A and Introductory Python in two Bellevue high schools - Newport HS and International School. From April 2017 to May 2017, they were a Part-time Curriculum Designer at DigiPen Institute of Technology, developing sample lessons and hands-on experiments for proof-of-concept K-3 physics curriculum. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft from August 1995 to March 2017, delivering security and servicing updates for Windows client components, including DirectX, GDI, User, Media, Shell, and in-box application technologies. Jon also worked across functional and business groups and countries to port updates in other products and provided leadership and mentoring for new members of the team. Before Microsoft, they were a Developer at Transportation Management Systems from August 1994 to August 1995 and a System Administrator at The Appraisal Institute from May 1993 to May 1994.

Jon Fincher's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, a CTE Certification from South Seattle College, and a Computer Science degree from Northeastern University. Jon also has certification from the International Scrum Assembly in International Scrum Developer (ISD), International Scrum Master (ISM), International Scrum Product Owner, and International Scrum Trainer.
