David Nilsson

David Nilsson is the CEO and founder of Framverket Utveckling AB, established in April 2024, where collaboration between various sectors and academia is facilitated to address complex challenges. Nilsson serves on the Board of Advisors for Coeli's Sustainability Impact Fund "Circulus" and is a board member at WaterAid Sverige and Kristineberg Center for Marine Research and Innovation. Between December 2012 and April 2024, Nilsson held multiple leadership roles at Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, including Deputy Head and Director of the WaterCentre@KTH, focusing on interdisciplinary collaboration in water-related issues. An Associate Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology since October 2018 and an independent advisor for Hydropolis Consulting and Research, Nilsson's research interests span the long-term development of societies and urban water provision systems, particularly in Africa. Previous experience includes roles at the Embassy of Sweden and Sida, with a solid foundation in environmental engineering and a PhD in the History of Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
