James Polanco

James Polanco has over three decades of experience in the mining industry, currently serving as Process General Supervisor at Coeur Mining, Inc. since July 2014. In this role, James has gained a deep understanding of the Solvent Extraction/Electrowinning process and integrated the Merrill-Crow Recovery process into his expertise. Responsibilities include day-to-day supervision, coordination of contractors, and overseeing the commissioning of a new leach pad during a recent expansion project. Prior to Coeur Mining, James held the position of Process General Foreman at Newmont Mining Corporation, where James focused on the commissioning and start-up of an SX-EW plant, and at Freeport-McMoRan for nearly 23 years in a similar capacity. James holds a high school diploma from Cliff High School.
